If you don't know what to bring just ask. We hope everyone will let us know what they are planning to bring so we may keep a list so items won't be duplicated. We expect a larger crowd than last year. Please bring an item which will serve at least 10-15 hungry men. If you don't bring an item please donate $10. To view the current picnic item list or see a list of suggestions click Picnic Sign Up Sheet. To learn more or to sign up by email click . You may also call Montie. You may bring any alcoholic beverage you wish to the picnic. A lawn chair may be advisable as well. We will update this info as needed. The address will be disclosed to members by email and/or newsletter. The rain date for the picnic is Sunday, July 5. You may bring a non-member as a guest, just let us know. Please let us know by July 2, so we may have enough food for everyone.
Night Under The Stars
Would you enjoy bringing back some of those wonderful memories of summer nights spent with family and friends under the stars? Would you enjoy watching movies outside on the biggest screen in Baltimore? Would you enjoy sharing some popcorn with a friend or two? If any of this sounds like a good idea then join us for an evening at Bengies Drive-in on July 18 at 7 PM. The drive-in has something for all of us, especially for those young at heart. Come and capture a little of your youth with us. The cost is $8 per person for two to three movies. Bengies is one of the last Drive-ins within 50 miles, celebrating its 54th year. It is located at 3417 Eastern Blvd. We want everyone who has ever been to a drive-in to join us. We will post the movies that will be playing at Bengies as soon as we know. Just remember it is more fun to go as a group than to sit home alone. For more info about this drive-in click Bengies Drive-In or call 410-687-5627. Don't miss out on the fun, see you there!!!
Bowling League Team
We would like to put together a bowling team representing Prime Timers on the Out & About Bowling League for the fall/winter league in Glen Burnie. The league lasts for 32 weeks starting on the first Thursday after Labor Day at the AMF Ritchie Lanes located at 6608 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The team must have three members with one or two alternate bowlers in case of illness or unforseen circumstances. Of course, if we have more than the minimum interested we may have more than one team. It is a handicap league for those who know something about league play you know what this means. The best thing about being on a league team is the fun in which you have.
Now, if you are interested in participating here are some points to consider. The cost per week is $14. If you cannot bowl for one week you must contact the team leader to arrange for an alternate bowler. At the end of the season they have a combined league banquet with the other Out & About Leagues (Sunday & Monday). You may be eligible to win cash and prizes even if your team aren't the best bowlers, this is what handicapping does for all bowlers. If you want to learn more about Baltimore's Largest GLBT Bowling Organization click Out & About Bowling League.
If you are interested in forming a team for Prime Timers let us know by emailing mentioning the word "bowling" in the (re:) regarding. More details will follow at the next social. If enough are involved we may consider getting bowling shirts for the participants. If you enjoy having fun and bowling now is your opportunity to do both as well as promote your Prime Timers!

We can all post photos to share with each other. Each of us can also join other groups that interest us. We can start a discussion (or notifications, etc.) in the group that each of us can follow without having to resort to sorting through emails. There are several ways to organize our individual group (or groups - we can have several). In fact once you sign up, you can form your own interest group(s).
John K. started our private Prime Timer Photography Group. This means that I as administrator will have to approve all the members and it will not be listed in the group search on Flickr. No one on Flickr.com besides our group willknow who we are. Only approved members can see the group, its activities, and post photos and comments. There are two other types of groups. One is public, but you must be approved by the administrator to join. The other is completely public and open - anyone can join and post. We may want to open another more public group in the future if deemed a neccessity. Let me know once you open your account and I will invite you to join the Prime Timer Photography group.
